Headshot Photo VS Brand Photography. Do you know the difference between the two?

I just did a headshot photography session in Southaven Missippi and this was the first time in a long while. Then the session went by so swiftly and I wondered why I remembered it being more difficult than that. Turns out that people would book a Headshot Photography session when they really wanted a Brand Photography session.
How I realized this is people would show up with ‘the props’… you know the laptop, the books, the outfit change in one 20 minute session and it used to stress me out badly. So, when I have those few Headshot sessions where someone literally just needs a head shot to send off for press or a profile picture change… I’m honestly shocked but sooooo relieved.

John shared these special words from his Headshot session:
‘Where should I start, KeaShundrea at Photos and Phases are truly a professional brand, the mood and composition of the phots where second to none. This was my first time having head shots and she guiding me through it as if she has been doing this for fifty years. Exquisite taste in location and angles my head shots turned out amazing. If you need photos done right I strongly suggest Photos and Phases.’
If you never knew the difference between Headshots and Branding Photography, no judgment. A headshot is pretty much what the name says- a head shot; photo from the waist up and sometimes I will sneak in a few full body pictures too. When someone wants photos for their brand and they want to get into taking photos of their behind the scenes, doing an outfit change and incorporating props… that typically moves us into Brand Photography territory. Hopefully this clear things up for your next photoshoot.

This Headshot session at Silo Square in Southaven Mississippi did make me want to shoot more headshot photography sessions. So if you are in the market for an updated headshot or a photo to send to vendors/press…. you know who to call.
